Top 15 Best Pillars of Eternity 2 Mods in 2021
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is an absolute beast of a game to have mods at. It isn’t open-source, but the amount of things you can do in a game with mods is limitless. What I really like about Pillars of Eternity 2 is the way the gameplay feels like a better Baldur’s Gate.
Not to diss Baldur’s Gate, but there’s a lot more to it that Pillars of Eternity 2 fills in the gaps. With mods, Pillars of Eternity 2 shines even brighter than its regular gameplay. But don’t worry, the base version is already good. We just like to put some mods in between here and there.

This mod increases the difficuty of the game significantly. It’s not impossible, but it’s not like you’re not gonna get some ass beating. It’s perfect for Souls-like masochists who loves to play cRPGs.
#13 More Custom AI Conditions Mod
Created by: GravitonGamer
This mod adds a lot of custom conditions, both from class-exclusive up to the general conditions. Buffs and debuffs aren’t always related to Affliction and Inspiration system.
You can see how much a character is affected by these customized conditions if you inspect them. Learning these conditions can be advantageous to your decisions on the field and how you approach fights.

#11 Slower Days and Longer Nights
Created by: Spherikal
This mod changes the day and night cycle, making it twice as long. It’s a world immersion mod, but it doesn’t affect anything in the game, so the combat should still be the same.

#8 Bonus Ability Points on Level Up
Created by: middle of nowhere
With this mod, you can now get bonus ability points once you level up. Normally, you wouldn’t be able to do that. But this mod adds so much value as to why leveling up and going higher is the only way to go.
You can also choose how many points you’ll get, based on what you value as fair and outright cheating, even though modding itself is kinda like “cheating”.

A character customization mod that allows you to do more in character creation. This mod adds more color selections and other customizable features.

An incredibly important mod that changes the way the game plays with a lot tweaks and added features. Mostly, it’s a class balancing mod, including a lot of subclasses available.

#3 Community Patch

A community-driven patch that changes a lot of things in the game, including new icons for various classes in the game. This patch also fixes some of the known bugs in the game, as well as the typos made in the English translations.

A Python-based console support for Pillars of Eternity 2. Very useful for those who know how to use it. It’s highly suggested to not use this application unless you know what you’re doing.
