The V.A.T.S. system is perhaps one of the most interesting features in Fallout 4. Setting tactical hits on various portions of the enemy’s body is damn satisfying, especially when it’s executed flawlessly. As opposed to the previous Fallout games, this feature no longer stops the time but slows it down instead. Yet, if you have enough Action Points it can be pretty OP. So, our V.A.T.S. mods serve to further enhance and broaden this experience, so we enjoy the game even more. Let’s check them out and see what they do!
Overpower Your Enemies with These V.A.T.S. Mods for Fallout 4
Critical Hits Outside of VATS

First on the list, we have an awesome mod that lets us critically hit outside of V.A.T.S.! Being depended to always enter V.A.T.S. for some devastating attacks can sometimes feel really boring, so this extension is a real life saver. And don’t worry, this mod won’t break your game and make you a God. The critical chance is actually low, but you have a some options to increase it through gameplay.
VOT – Increased VATS Distance

And sometimes the range proximity of V.A.T.S. can seem pretty underwhelming, but luckily for us, here is a mod to fix that. It increases your radius in which you can enter V.A.T.S., so you’ll use it more often. Actually, the range with this mod is so big that there’s rarely an enemy in sight that you cannot reach!
VATS Tweaks

If you’ve never liked the basic V.A.T.S. system in Fallout 4, here is the closest thing to a complete rework. This mod changes a lot of things, from options to crit chances and slow-motion effects. Everything is adjusted for a more natural look and it’s super cool. Also, the killcam is disabled.
VATS Freeze Fix

If you play on survival difficulty, chances are that you’ve probably noticed the freezing bug that occurs while engaged in V.A.T.S.. This actually causes you to get stuck and not progress further. It’s bad and it’s annoying. But this mod completely solves the issue, so just plug it in and you’ll be good for life!
VATS 95 Percent Chance (no console commands)

To always deal deadly hits in V.A.T.S., you’re going to need this mod! It does a very simple job of increasing the critical chance to 95% on every body part, so no matter where you choose your bullet to go, it’s always going to be fatal.
CleanVATS – Green Tint Remover

Here is a mod that fixes one more annoyance in Fallout 4 and that’s the green tint while in the V.A.T.S. system. There are situations when there’s just too much of it, so this mod removes it completely from the game.
No VATS Damage Reduction
Gameversion: CB 1.6.2-R0.1
To make the V.A.T.S. system a bit more realistic, this mod will enable for you to take full damage. Normally, you’d have a 90% protection shield while you’re choosing a body part, but now if an enemy attacks you while you do that, you could possibly die. This works for both melee and ranged attacks, however, the incoming damage can be reduced manually.
VATS 95 Hit Chance

This is a very simple mod – it increases your crit chance in V.A.T.S. to 100%. This can always stay on, so no matter which enemy you’re fighting, you can critically hit them every time you trigger V.A.T.S. The installation is pretty easy too, so we recommend you trying it!
MLG VATS

Not everybody would like this mod, but we’ve found it tons of fun in-game! What it does is that it adds most of the “internet meme” sounds that you probably know in the V.A.T.S. system, so you can laugh while trying to devastate your enemy. It’s very cool!
Quiet Vats

And here is a mod from the opposite side of the spectrum! This one reduces a lot of noises while in V.A.T.S. because many of them can be quite overwhelming at times. If you’ve played the game for a while then you’re probably tired of hearing the same “whoozing” sounds while trying to kill your enemy. So this is a quick fix!
MGSV VATS Audio

The MGSV mod, however, replaces most of the base game V.A.T.S. sounds to the ones from Metal Gear Solid V. If you’ve never played MGSV, then let us tell you that its audio is pretty unique, and this mod does a wonderful job of integrating it in Fallout 4. Definitely try it out!
