Mob mods aren’t new to the community. In fact, humans are the first mobs that were introduced to the game and the next batch where the animals and monsters species. Did you also know that creeper was a glitch that was kept in the game? Well, enough of the trivias. We handpicked the best of the best Minecraft mob mods that you’ll surely need to have this year.
Minecraft Mob Grinding Utils
Gameversion: 1.16.1
If you feel like you’re having a hard time with hardfarming mobs and all that, you need to consider your priorities in autofarming. Luckily, you won’t have to because now we have Mob Grinding Utils! This mod was made to make it easier to farm materials from mobs without having to go through the arduous process of farming farming for the creation of the auto-farming tools.
NoMobSuffocation
Gameversion: CB 1.7.2-R0.2
This simple plugin is designed to unclip mobs out their misery until they’re bugged out from being suffocated. This plugin is very useful since most autofarms have that kind of problem that makes it harder for grinding materials to be butter smooth.
No Mob Spawning on Trees
Gameversion: 1.12
A pretty useful plugin that allows the mobs that will spawn in your biome or world to spawn in flat terrain surfaces or anything that isn’t considered a plant or a tree. Those types of spawns are hardly working and are considerably buggy at best.
AtomicStryker’s Infernal Mobs
Created by: Lady Sinestro
Infernal Mobs is a plugin that allows you take on harder and challenging mobs with enchanted weapons, making it a little bit tricky and harder to kill them than just braindead smashing you usually do. What makes this nice to have is the amount of rewards you’re getting from the drops. It’s challenging and rewarding at the same time.
Mowzie’s Minecraft Mobs Mod
Created by: Master of Worlds
Mowzie’s Minecraft Mobs Mod is simple, it adds a lot of JRPG monsters into your world, which makes it not only lively and beautiful, it also makes your world challenging and bit more than just a casual and your average game. It has dragons, beautiful and exotic plants, and dangerous beasts that are roaming the wilderness. Are you up for a challenge? Then use this mod.
Minecraft Mob Stages Mod
Gameversion: CB 1.4.2-R0.2
Mob stages is a pretty simple mod that adds a layer of complexity when it comes to randomly generating or summoning mobs, making it possible for you to create multiple scripts and have them spawn in order without or with minimal bugs.
Lycanites Mobs
Created by: Lucky14
As you’ve already guess, these demonic hellspawns are the Lovecraftian nightmares that will break the “blocky” personality of the monsters in the game. Lycanites Mobs introduces a series of hellish creatures with various grotesque and and nightmarish figures that will not let you sleep quietly at night. You think those concrete walls will protect you from the psychological damage they’ll bring? Nope. Good luck, friend.
Deep Mob Learning
Deep Mob Learning is a mod that you’ll be able to enjoy while learning all the mechanics of mob spawning and autofarming. This Deep Mob Learning system is one of the necessary requirements for you to be able to start your puny life in the game with the easiest mobs that you can train to work for you.
Primitive Mobs
Gameversion: 1.14.4
If you ever feel like that the Cretacious period is that one period where you’re gonna vibe hard with, then this mod is for you. Primitive Mob introduces the primitive species of the dinosaur periods, long before man even became “man”. It has a lot of mobs, on top of the regular mobs you’ll see in vanilla. Apparently, they made it possible for you to be far ahead of the Homo habilis by making
Mob Properties
Gameversion: 1.8
A vanilla plugin that allows you to fully customize the mobs in the game without breaking the game or your own PC. Mob Properties is basically properties settings for your mobs to crank up or notch down the general scripts they’ve been formatted with.
MobTotems
Gameversion: CB 1.7.2-R0.1
Mob Totems are basically offering statues that you can “offer” mob materials to spawn enchanted items with the power of Paganism and, well, coding. This simple mod isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it’s good to keep your mobs in check by using their spawned item against them.
Multi Mob Library
Created by: Morphyum
Multi Mob library is a compendium of mob mods that you can alternately or simultaneously use without them crashing your game. It allows the game to run smoothly without encountering errors that are bound to happen when two mods are changing a single item and running with different scripts.
ArmoreableMobs
Gameversion: CB 1.7.9-R0.2
Straightforward as it sounds, you can now spawn mobs that you can equip with armor and you can fight. It’s pretty funny coz when you run this mod with Deep Mob Learning, a diamond armor wearing mob will pretty much kill you.
Mob Spawner Control
Gameversion: CB 1.3.1-R1.0
Mob Spawner Control is a plugin that you can use pretty much everywhere and prevent crappy glitches caused by overflowing spawns of mob via the autofarming spawners. It’s pretty much a damage control, but if you’re trying to build a perpetual spawning machine, this isn’t something you need to have.
Player Skin Mob
Created by: Imp of the Perverse
Well, it’s pretty straightforward and direct, this mod doesn’t add anything new to the game, except the mobs you’ll encounter have the players skins; whether it’s custom skins or not.
Custom Mob Spawner
Created by: DrPvtskittles
As opposed to the Mob Control Spawn, this Custom Mob Spawner is very useful if you’re playing singleplayer since you’ll be able to fully customize the rate of how things are going down and up from your settings in a few clicks. The problem with this mod is that it doesn’t always work with other servers since both you and the host needs the same mod for it to function properly.
Rough Mobs 2
Gameversion: 1.12.2
Basically what it says on the title, Rough Mobs 2 is an improvement from the previous version, which makes the mobs in the game significantly harder to kill. Which is a good thing as it adds a layer of realism and challenge into the game, especially if you’re playing survival. It’s hellish in Hardcore, but it’s manageable.
MobDisguised
Gameversion: 1.12.2
MobDisguised is just a prophunt mod that you can use to confuse everyone in the game and transform into whatever mob. People will see you as whatever map you’ve transformed. Be careful, though, transforming into a hostile mob means you’re gonna be a target.
Special Mobs
Created by: Chris Robinson
Special Mobs add a layer of variation when it comes to mobs. This mod also adds a new mechanic for most mobs, for example, Skeleton Archers will shoot with you poisoned or fire arrows. Some mobs will jumpscare you and gang up on you. It’s a pretty good mod that adds a layer of flavour for the lackluseter and predictable behaviour of mobs.
Instrumental Mobs
Created by: Flake687
You can now create an orchestra from the mobs in your area. Using this mod means that whatever Youtube music video you’re shooting will be far easier, especially if everyone around you has turned into a musical instrument.
Mob Dismemberment
Gameversion: 1.12.2
The gore that we didn’t have in Minecraft due to it being a kid-friendly game. Dis-memberment, I mean this mod allows you to decapitate body parts from a mob when you’re hitting them or when you kill them, making it feel like you’re playing a hack and slash game, instead of clubbing everyone with your “sword”.
