The final Fantasy series, filled with knights, fighters, warriors, dragons, dungeons, merchants, rogues, archery, magic, and even a mage, burglar, assassin, and a thief, has been a favorite amongst gaming fans since it was first introduced in the gaming world back in 1987. Since then, thousands have fallen in love with the spiky Square-Enix hair.
Thanks to Skyrim mod creators, Final Fantasy and Skyrim fans have experienced one of the most improbable crossovers of all time. However, there are some Final Fantast Skyrim mods that have gelled into the game perfectly – almost as if they were made for the Skyrim universe.

The “X” Final Fantasy Skyrim Mods You’ll Love
#1 Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Buster Sword
With the highest number of downloads on Nexus Mods among both Skyrim and Skyrim SE mods, the Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Buster Sword has become the most sought-after mod for Final Fantasy fans. This mod will enable players to add a lookalike of Zack’s [a warrior and a soldier] Fair’s Buster Sword on PSP, but not on PS4 or PS5. Additionally, you will also find replicas of Cloud’s and Angeal’s swords.
You can craft the Buster Sword at any forge. The only items you’ll need for this mod to work are 20 steel ingots, 4 gold ingots, 4 leather strips, and the Steel Smithing perk. We also love the newly added Sephiroth’s Masamune and double-bladed katana Souba as well as the one-handed, dual-wielding function.
There’s also an alternate available for this mod if you’re playing Skyrim SE, which features the two-handed Buster Sword from the Final Fantasy VII Remake. This one is available in 4K, 2K, and 1K resolutions. You can also find this mod for Skyrim.
#2 Aerith – Final Fantasy 7 Clothes and Hairstyle
Aerith Gainsborough, also known as Aeris, is the last living Cetra in Final Fantasy and many have fallen in love with this playable character because she has several unique powers and also the ability to communicate with the life forces of the planet.
This mod pack by hardarg and denkigroove adds the character’s hairstyle and clothes from Final Fantasy 7. The clothes and hairstyle are inspired by her appearances in the FF7 compilation, including the Crisis Core outfit and the KingdomHearts outfit.
Available in the forge, the enchanted set can also be acquired from a chest after gaining access to the Eldergleam Tree. However, it is pertinent to mention that the set is not available in Ribbon and Tie. You will find both heavy and light armor as well as capable of being tempered.

Every Final Fantasy fan wants to see the main antagonist of the Final Fantasy series VII and VII Remake in their Skyrim game. After all, who wouldn’t want to introduce the Skyrim world to the attributes of one of the most sinister villains in the series?
Fortunately for Sephiroth fans, the Final Fantasy 7 Masamune mod adds Sephiroth’s Masamune – a worthy opponent of the Buster Sword – to the game. The katana-esque blade can be crafted [found in the daedric category] or purchased from Eorlund.
The new update lets players craft the Masamune exclusively at Skyforge and it has also introduced one-handed play with increased base damage. You’ll need a diamond, daedric greatsword, – or the daedric sword for the one-handed version – dragon scale, and steel ingots.
#4 Final Fantasy 7 Characters and Sephiroth
The Final Fantasy 7 Characters and Sephiroth mod is perfect for a Final Fantasy buff who wants to add some of the most beloved characters from the Final Fantasy series into the Skyrim world. Some of these characters include Riku, Kairi, Sora, Cid, Vincent, Yuffie, Barrett, and Cait Sith.
The most popular and highly demanded character, Sephiroth, can also be added as either an enemy or a companion. As a companion, he will appear as a Nord Male with Death Knight as his Custom Class at level 25. He is also marriageable as a companion.
In contrast, as an enemy, Sephiroth will appear as the ultimate weapon against you, so you should ensure to create a large group of companions to face him. Players on the FF6 mod will find him in the same location as Kefka, who will be found finding him.
